Description

These little Apple-Tarts are beautiful and delicious. The Recipe is super easy and you are going to definitely add it to your Fall baking list.

Ingredients
  • a little bit of butter (melted)
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • a little bit of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ready rolled butter puff pastry
  • 2 large apples
  • 12 Teaspoons jam (any you like)
Instructions
  1. what you need to do with the ready puff pastry
    • roll out the ready puff pastry on a piece of parchment paper and cut out 8-9 Ø round slices ( I was using my coffee mug for this).
    • melt the butter and cover the holes of your muffin tray.
    • place the round puff pastry pieces into the holes of your muffin tray.
    • place one teaspoon of jam (any jam you like) to the mittle of each pastry piece.
  2. what you need to do with the apples:
    • cut the apples into 1/4 pieces and then into very thin (2-3 mm) slices.
    • place the cut slices into a pan - add 1 glass of water + sugar + cinnamon + vanilla extract and cook everything on medium heat (water should not boil - the sugar should be melted).
    • when done - apple slices should be very soft - now you can actually fold them into roses without them breaking.
    • place 8-12 apple slices (peel side up) along a imaginary horizontal line (place one apple slice , take the next one- put it over the first slice so it covers half of it - and so on..).
    • now gently take your lined apple slices and role them into a "muffin shaped" rose.
    • place it on top of your pastry piece.
    • bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.
