A fairytale poached pear – Chocolate Cake
My favorite fall recipe 2022. poached pears- chocolate cake with maple cream cheese frosting. It isn't just easy to make it also looks like right out of a fairytale!
A fairytale poached pear – Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
for the chocolate cake:

Instructions

chocolate cake:
- use a 10cm ⌀ springform
- mix all dry ingredients first
- add all wet ingredients after that
- bake for 30 minutes at 175°C
- once done use a cookie cutter or a spoon to remove cake from the top center of each cake. Do not take out too much. Just enough for your pear sit on top.
IMPORTANT: do NOT overmix - everything just needs to be combined. also check if knife or fork comes out sticky when putting it into the cake. it should not ! -
cream cheese:
- first mix cream cheese + maple syrup until creamy
- slowly spoon in powdered sugar and mix until thick frosting forms.

poached pears:

peel pears (leave the stem intact)

boil water and add cinnamon,sugar, cloves and vanilla extract

wait until the sugar is dissolved and add the pears after that

let the pears simmer for about 35-30 minutes

combine:
- take your chocolate cake
- pour over some of the frosting (if its to thick, you can add 2-3 tablespoons of milk to it)
- gently place the peach on top
- sprinkle some cinnamon over all of it to make it look pretty
